I spent a summer in a hide within a disused WW1 ammunitions shed filming barn owl chicks.

I filmed them venture out of their nest spread their wings for the first time and eventually fledge.

Working all through the night and day to capture the chick’s first movements was very special to witness and a really intimate insight into their development.
